Selous
Overview
Africa's largest reserve is located in Tanzania and occupies 5% of the country. In terms of size, the park is comparable to the total area of Slovakia or Croatia, and it is the first protected area ever established in Africa. Selous is a habitat for virtually all animal species of equatorial Africa. The number of elephants in this reserve alone is comparable to their total population in the whole of Kenya, and the buffalo population is the largest in all of Africa. During a safari in the Selous Reserve, you will almost always encounter giraffes, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and warthogs. The predator world is represented by lions, hyenas, and wild dogs. We offer one-day trips to the reserve for those who want to experience African wildlife but are short on time
